Wifi and Eduroam
To use the WiFi network at CINES, two scenarios :
1 – If you are invited at CINES, you must ask for a temporary account at the DS2I department
To get access to Internet via CINES wifi facility you have to :
- be in an area covered (see appropriate MAP within the center),
- Activate WiFi on your computer,
- Select WiFi network “CINES”,
- Open you favourite browser.
After a while you will be prompted for authentication. Enter your temporary account data, and validate as specified. Access should be get and a small popup window connection appear (you have to authorize them). Don’t close it ! Otherwise, just navigate as usual.
2 – If you are member of EDUROAM project visiting CINES, you already have an account.
To get access to Internet via eduroam service at CINES you have to :
- be in an area covered (see appropriate MAP within the center),
- Activate WiFi on your computer,
- Select WiFi network “CINES”,
- Open you favourite browser.
After a while you will be prompted for authentication. Authenticate. Access should be get and a small popup window connection appear (you have to authorize them). Don’t close it ! Otherwise, just navigate as usual.
3 – Si vous êtes utilisateur d’un établissement membre du projet EDUROAM en visite au CINES, vous possédez déjà vos identifiants.
Pour vous connecter à Internet via le service eduroam du CINES vous devez :
- have 802.1X configured on your computer,
- be in an area covered (see appropriate MAP within the center),
- Activate WiFi on your computer,
- Select WiFi network “Eduroam”,
- Authenticate
