The mission at CINES, for which the PAC project was set up to deploy a platform and a permanent digital archive service for the scientific and technical information has been confirmed by several decisions of supervisory guardianship, the DGRI (Directorate General for Research and Innovation) and DGESIP (Directorate General of Higher Education and Professional Integration) Ministry of Higher Education and Research:
- Decree of August 7, 2006 on rules for deposit, reporting, reproduction, dissemination and preservation of theses or works presented in thesis for a doctorate.
- Letter of February 12, 2008 refocusing activities of the CINES around two strategic tasks: High Performance Computing and Long Term Preservation.
