C.I.N.E.S. NATIONAL COMPUTING CENTRE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

The center is divided into five departments, each headed by a department manager. The Director and the five department managers form the “management committee” of the Center.


Department of Intensive Computing (DCI)

Manager: Gabriel HAUTREUX


The DCI is responsible for the computing environments hosted at the CINES, user support for code parallelization and optimization, and the promotion of parallel computing techniques. It provides computing expertise to the many scientific disciplines that use the Center’s supercomputers to solve problems requiring extreme computing power and large memory capacities.


Department of Archiving and Data Services (DASD)

Manager: Philippe PRAT


The DASD defines and implements the tools and procedures to ensure the long-term preservation of digital data and documents entrusted to the CINES. It provides advice and expertise in this field and participates in national and international projects.


Department of IT Services (DSI)

Manager: Marie GALEZ


The DSI is responsible for the common IT environments that support the equipment of other departments. It ensures the availability of resources and data security.


Department of General Administration (DAG)

Manager: Karima LAMRI


The Department of General Administration (DAG) ensures the smooth administrative operation and optimizes management processes within the structure. It encompasses various activities such as budget management, public procurement, human resources, European and research project management, as well as general and legal affairs. The DAG implements the purchasing and public procurement policy, prepares and executes the budget under the supervision of the deliberative body, manages human resources, and promotes social dialogue. It also ensures the legality of administrative acts to guarantee the legal security of processes.


Department of Heritage and Logistics (DPL)

Manager: David LUIS


The Department of Real Estate and Logistics (DPL) is tasked with defining and implementing an effective management strategy for real estate and technical assets. This includes overseeing logistics, safety, and risk prevention, as well as optimizing technical installations for improved energy efficiency and increased comfort. The DPL also supervises maintenance work and manages real estate projects, ensuring compliance with hygiene, workplace safety, and environmental protection standards.
