Security, both hardware and software, has always been a priority of CINES. To ensure this mission, the center has an information systems security officer, help by an assistant.
Physical security is ensured by a set of means of protection (restricted areas, screening of visitors, use of access badges, guards, video monitoring…).
All CINES computer systems require authentication and authorization granted by a centralized directory service. The CINES teams monitor all servers and applications 24 hours / 24 and 7 days / 7. Alerts are processed through a centralized system for managing incidents. Similarly, the aging and the saturation of media are constantly monitored by the CINES teams and hardware constructors.
The operations performed by the systems are plotted in a single event log in accordance with the recommendations of the NF Z42-013 on the management of electronic archiving.
Finally, CINES offers a business continuity plan for the archive.
