PAC (Plateforme d’archivage au Cines) is a long term preservation generic application based on Arcsys software and coupled to an in-house Java module using a MySql database.

The PAC system has been designed as a set of three logical servers, following the model proposed by the ISO 14721 standard (OAIS).

  • a submission server, where the documents producer can transmit its records;
  • a storage server where the documents are kept;
  • an access server where the producer and the users allowed to consult the archives may seek and obtain an archive.
